Visiting Sandroyd

Choosing a school for your child is one of the biggest decisions most parents will have to make and it is an incredibly important one.

We understand just how important the choices you make are, especially when considering boarding for the first time. Here at Sandroyd, we are committed to making sure you have the chance to really get to know the school before you consider and potentially go on to choose it for your child.

We’ve been helping families to make this choice for over 130 years and we look forward to being able to show you all that we have to offer, so you can decide whether Sandroyd is the right choice.

We would be delighted to discuss the possibility of your child joining Sandroyd and aim to make the process as friendly and straightforward as possible.  The best way to get a feel for the unrivalled education at Sandroyd is to visit. You will be able to see for yourselves exactly why the education we offer is treasured by pupils, parents, alumni and highly valued by the top senior schools in the country.

Open Mornings

Our popular Open Mornings take place every term and are an excellent way to visit the school, meet our staff and children and to explore our facilities and extensive grounds.

We hold five throughout the year.  They are slightly more informal and allow for families to visit Sandroyd on a Saturday. We don't put on anything different - indeed they are normal school days, but this allows families to experience the normal life of the school.

All Open Morning visitors have a one-to-one meeting with our Headmaster, Alastair Speers, and his wife Alice, as well as having the opportunity to tour the school, including the boarding facilities, and meet with pupils and staff.

Forthcoming Open Mornings:

Saturday 16th March 2019

Saturday 8th June 2019

Alternatively, you are welcome to book a personal visit at a time that better suits your family. You can choose to visit with or without your children, with private visits usually lasting up to two hours.
